European Poker Tour
The European Poker Tour is the benchmark tour of European live poker. Launched by PokerStars in the mid-2000s, it set the template the continent now follows: a week-long festival in a major European city's casino, a high buy-in Main Event spread over several days, and dozens of side events around it covering every format and every budget.

About European Poker Tour
Its landmark stops — Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Prague, Paris — draw fields of several thousand entrants and rank among the largest live poker gatherings anywhere outside Las Vegas. Barcelona, in late summer, is traditionally the best-attended stop on the calendar.
The Main Event runs into several thousand euros, placing the EPT at the top end of European buy-ins. Satellites, both online and on site, offer a way in for a fraction of that price — and they are how most recreational players get there. The full programme of each stop, with actual buy-ins and guarantees, is listed below.
Frequently asked questions
What is the EPT Main Event buy-in?
An EPT stop's Main Event runs into several thousand euros, making it one of the most expensive tournaments on the regular European calendar. The exact figure varies by stop and appears in the programme above. Satellites offer a way in for a fraction of that price.
How do I qualify for an EPT stop?
Mainly through satellites. Online qualifiers run continuously with tickets costing a few tens of euros, and every stop runs daily on-site satellites throughout the festival week. This is the route most recreational players take.
Do I have to play the Main Event to attend an EPT stop?
No. An EPT stop features dozens of side tournaments with buy-ins starting far below the Main Event: turbo side events, deepstacks, mystery bounties, high rollers. Many players travel for those alone.
